THE 9th TULKU NETEN RINPOCHE, the Jam Tse
Cho Ling (Head) Dharma Centre in Toronto Canada draws on the spiritual tradition of His Holiness The Dalai Lama and
dedicate to the preservation of Tibetan Buddhism of Gelugpa and its lineage.
The mission of His Eminence Tulku
Neten Rinpoche for his Dharma Centre is to
bring Shakya Muni Buddha's precious teachings and practices to everyone.
Adding to this mission,
the objectives are to
- encourage individuals to develop compassion,
tolerance and loving kindness for greater peace and harmony in our
society and the world.
- establish and maintain a place
of worship for public teachings and retreats as well as to support Dharma students in
their practices.
- promote the preservation of the Tibetan cultural
tradition which is based on Tibetan Buddhism.
- provide spiritual care and assistance as needed.
Since the
year 2006,
His Eminence The 9th Tulku
Neten Rinpoche has been residing in Toronto, Canada but travels
extensively across the globe for public talks and giving teachings
to religious, educational, healthcare and social institutions.
Mai-Phuong Nguyen
translates from
Tibetan language into English, French and
Vietnamese
all of His Eminence Tulku Neten Rinpoche's
Dharma teachings, books and public talks.

In
January 2009,
His Eminence Tulku Neten Rinpoche
founded the
Jam Tse Cho Ling Dharma Centre in Toronto, province of
Ontario, Canada as a charitable organization.
On
August 19, 2010 the Jam Tse
Cho Ling Dharma Centre had its permanent location
on 598 Browns Line
Toronto, Ontario M8W-3V5. Temporary
renovations to the existing building were completed in time to allow
the Centre to begin conducting services at this location on November 2010.
On
June 12, 2011 the completion of
the prayer hall and some facilities outside the Centre
finalized renovations and
the official opening was
celebrated.
THE MEANING OF
JAM TSE CHO LING
JAM
means Loving-kindness,
TSE
Compassion
CHO means Buddha's teachings
or Doctrine or Dharma. It can be
subsumed under two categories:

Scriptural teachings: The
transmission of Buddha’s teachings extant in oral and scriptural
form.
-
The transmission of insight:
wisdom and realizations gained through practice of the
trainings.
LING means a Centre where
Buddha's doctrine is taught and practised
JAM TSE CHO LING stands for a place
where everyone learns and practises Buddha Shakya Muni's precious
teachings in order to cultivate and achieve good qualities such as
loving-kindness, compassion, Bodhichitta (enlightenment mind), wisdom, patience and other virtues, for the supreme enlightenment.
