Under the guidance of His Eminence The 9th Tulku Neten Rinpoche, the Jam Tse Cho Ling Tibetan Dharma Centre and Temple draw on the spiritual tradition of His Holiness The Dalai Lama and dedicate to the preservation of Tibetan Buddhism of Gelugpa and its lineage.

 

The mission of His Eminence Tulku Neten Rinpoche for his Dharma Centre and Temple is to bring Shakya Muni Buddha's precious teachings and practices to everyone.

 

 

Adding to this mission, the objectives are to

- encourage individuals to develop compassion, tolerance and loving kindness for greater peace and harmony in our society and the world.

- establish and maintain a place of worship for public teachings and retreats as well as to support Dharma students in their practices.

- promote the preservation of the Tibetan cultural tradition which is based on Tibetan Buddhism.

- provide spiritual care and assistance as needed.

 

  Since 2006, His Eminence Tulku Neten Rinpoche, the 9th reincarnated Lama (Tulku) of the Jungpa monastery, Spiritual Leader of the people of Lithang, the Kham province in Tibet - Dharma Teacher of SeraMey Monastic University and Gyumed Tantric Monastery in India, has been living in CANADA and giving Dharma teachings in many countries and communities around the world.

Later on, His Eminence Tulku Neten Rinpoche has accomplished his principal project of complete reconstruction of his nine lifetimes JUNGPA MONASTERY which has been previously destroyed in Jungpa-Lithang, Tibet.

In January 2009, His Eminence Tulku Neten Rinpoche founded the Jam Tse Cho Ling Dharma Centre in Toronto, province of Ontario, Canada as a charitable organization.

 

On August 19, 2010 the Jam Tse Cho Ling Dharma Centre had its permanent location on 598 Browns Line Toronto, Ontario M8W 3V5. Temporary renovations to the existing building were completed in time to allow the Centre to begin conducting services at this location on November 2010.

 

On June 12, 2011 the completion of the prayer hall and some facilities outside the Centre finalized renovations and the official opening was celebrated.

On December 14, 2012 as per wished and requested by disciples, His Eminence Tulku Neten Rinpoche founded the Jam Tse Cho Ling Tibetan Buddhist Temple in Calgary, province of Alberta, Canada. This temple functions as a branch of the Jam Tse Cho Ling Dharma Centre in Toronto

 

On October 1st, 2013 after having completed all the need for the Main Prayer Hall such as altar, statues, thangkars, throne, ritual instruments, prayer books, cushions and so forth... His Eminence Tulku Neten Rinpoche began conducting activities at the temporary location on 96 WhiteHaven N.E Calgary Alberta T1Y 6C5.

 

In January 2014, His Eminence Tulku Neten Rinpoche realized his plan of sponsoring his senior student Geshe Lharampa Trinley Gyatso from the SeraMey monastery in India to come to Canada, and first started Dharma teachings at the Jam Tse Cho Ling Temple in Calgary. This is a part of his long-term project of sponsoring sanghas to teach in both Jam Tse Cho Ling Dharma Centre in Toronto and Temple in Calgary.

 

 

  [ CANADA ]  GELUG MONLAM OF CANADA 2015, 2016, 2017 ... 

 

In January 2015, His Eminence Tulku Neten Rinpoche accepted the request from sanghas of the Gelugpa tradition to become The First Throne Holder of Gelug Monlam of Canada ( Gelug Monlam means Great Prayer Festival of the Gelugpa tradition which was formed in the year 2015 ).

 

The main purpose of the Great Prayer Festival is to pray for world peace, good health and generate conducive conditions for everyone to live in harmony.

 

His Eminence and Jam Tse Cho Ling Dharma Centre support the group for its activities. This Festival is organized in Toronto for the first time on March 20, 21 and 22, 2015. See Accomplished National Projects.

The meaning of JAM TSE CHO LING DHARMA CENTRE (*)

 

JAM means Loving-kindness, TSE Compassion

 

CHO means Buddha's teachings or Doctrine or Dharma. It can be subsumed under two categories:

 

   - Scriptural teachings: The transmission of Buddha’s teachings extant in oral and scriptural form.

 

   - The transmission of insight: wisdom and realizations gained through practice of the trainings.

 

LING means a Centre where Buddha's doctrine is taught and practised

 

JAM TSE CHO LING stands for a place where everyone learns and practises Buddha Shakya Muni's precious teachings in order to cultivate and achieve good qualities such as loving-kindness, compassion, Bodhichitta (enlightenment mind), wisdom, patience and other virtues, for the supreme enlightenment.
